HI. I'M ELLANA.
I'M A WRITER.

I do concepts. I do slogans. I do brand voice and immersive narrative.
I make it all sound nice.
THIS IS MY PORTFOLIO.
If you'd like to see more, feel free to drop me a line.
Ellana was born screaming, then instantly internalised the sentiment – for better or for worse – forever.
She’s chased experience from Earth’s closest-to-space point (in the Andes mountains, while researching with Amazon tribes) to its low point (the Dead Sea, volunteering at a West Bank orphanage). She’s crossed six of the seven seas, trekked two deserts, and has settled in London from her native Canada (for now).
Ellana’s experimental immersive work, blurring the boundaries between music, visual art and poetry, has been showcased at ARSENAL gallery in Montréal, and in her upcoming show HAUNT. Her poem Three Weeks in a Decade / An Ode to my Living Room Floor is studied on-curriculum in several Canadian universities. With over 35 awards for writing across poetry, speech and screen, she represented Montréal at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word, showcased a short film at Cannes, and regularly features at events for art and literary magazines. She’s spoken on poetry at McGill University and TEDx King’s College London, on screenwriting at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, writes music and lyrics for acts like Tobiahs and KYLE. A recent music video for the kpop artist Shao Hao went viral in Asia and was featured in Rolling Stone Japan. She has written poems for brands like Michael Kors, Jennifer Lopez, and the charity Samaritans. She's written copy and international campaigns for brands like PUMA, adidas, Dr. Martens, and Hennessy. Her work for the Shakespeare BirthplaceTrust, for the 100th anniversary of Shakespeare's First Folio, measurably helped to revitalise tourism and foot traffic in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
She likes milkshakes, gin, and fantastical true stories.
